Alexis started working in the lab in 2016. She is a graduate of the University of Houston where she completed a bachelors of science degree in biology and health (double major). Alexis has participated in research focused on health disparities within underserved populations. Subpopulations she has worked with include homeless adults, African-Americans and LGBTQ communities. With a new interest in Tobacco research, she will focus on the risk of various tobacco products and evaluate nicotine consumption levels.
