Graduate and Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program


The Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center of the Stephenson Cancer Center will be offering summer research training for undergraduate and graduate students to attend a 12-week program (5/18/2017 to 8/14/2017). This program allows a trainee to participate in work under the mentorship of a tobacco investigator in a research setting in Oklahoma City. Trainees will complete a mentored research project which they will present at the end of the term and will prepare an abstract for submission to a national conference. Trainees will also participate in weekly seminars covering a diverse array of tobacco and research-related topics. Optional social activities are scheduled for the evenings and weekends. Summer Scholars are provided $6,000 for participating in the entire program. Low-cost housing is available at a nearby University at the cost of the Summer Scholar.
